I often receive requests for technical assistance via e-mail.  Sometimes, I'm able to point people directly to the right techincal resource or answer the question quickly.  More commonly, the situation requires more research, discussion, and details.  If you have a techincal problem or question, I highly recommend that you consider posting on discussion groups and forums. 

 

You'll have the opportunity to read about others' questions, and you'll often receive numerous responses from qualified technical professionals.  In the realm of Microsoft technologies, a great starting place is Microsoft's Community Newsgroups.  Other options include public newsgroups accessible via Google Groups.  For best results, take some time to get acquainted with the purpose of each group, and try to avoid posting "off-topic" messages.  Good luck!
